Furnace Thresholds

Today we’re kicking off a new sermon series called “Thresholds: Stretching Our Limits.” And I was SO excited that our set piece for this series was doors, because I was ready to make the MOST dramatic entrance today and give what I’m sure would have been a very memorable visual. But our creative team was very clear- no, Mindie, these are PROVERBIAL DOORS, not ACTUAL doors.

And that was kind of a bummer, but it is sort of the perfect image for what we’re going to be talking about. Because sometimes we find ourselves in a place where we need to walk through the proverbial door, don’t we? We need to take a risk, act in faith, maybe change our minds, or even just expect that God could show up in a way we’ve never thought about before.
